How to stop hating yourself

Hating yourself is one of the most painful emotions you can feel. It's like a black hole that sucks in all the good feelings, leaving you with nothing but sadness, anger and disgust.

It's natural to feel this way sometimes, but if your self-hatred is getting in the way of your happiness or causing other problems in your life, you may want to take some steps toward dealing with it. So, here are a few ways to stop hating yourself.

1. Stop Comparing Yourself to Others

This is a very important tip to Stop hating yourself. Comparing yourself to other people is a surefire way to make yourself feel miserable. Instead of trying to be like someone else, focus on being the best possible version of yourself. If you have depression or anxiety, then that's okay! It doesn't make you a bad person or less worthy of love, happiness and success than anyone else. It just means that you need help dealing with it to live a normal life again. Other people may not understand this, but that doesn't mean that they hate you for it either! They just don't know what it's like to live with mental illness. And if they do, it doesn't make them any better than you because they don't experience the same feelings as you do every day of their lives! Sometimes, you start hating yourself even because of body shaming. But, at that time you have been there for yourself and accepted all of your flaws.

2. Get Rid of Negative Self-talk

Negative-Self-talk

Getting rid of Negative self-talk is one of the most effective ways to stop hating yourself. Self-talk isn't just unproductive — it's also damaging to your self-esteem. It can prevent you from doing things like reaching out for help when you need it, which makes it harder to get over whatever's bothering you in the first place. The next time you hear yourself saying something negative about yourself, replace it with a positive thought or statement instead (i.e., "I'm such a loser" becomes "I made that mistake because I was tired."). Negative self-talk may even lead to very serious mental health problems. So, learn to get rid of this habit immediately.

3. Accept Help From Others When They Offer It

If you want to learn to stop hating yourself. Do not be afraid of asking for help from someone who cares about you if they offer it! Sometimes we think that asking for help will make us look weak or unconfident in our abilities, but this isn't true at all!

4. There is no Right Way to Feel About Yourself

Feel-About-Yourself

Keeping in mind that there's no right way about yourself is the ultimate Tip to Stop hating yourself. What's important is that you are aware of how you feel and why, so that you can make the best possible decisions in your life.

5. Start With Self-Compassion

When we think of ourselves as "bad," it's often because we're comparing ourselves to an unrealistic ideal of what we should be like. This kind of thinking tends to lead to self-criticism, which isn't productive — even if you have a bad habit or two, it doesn't mean that you're a bad person. Compassion is about seeing yourself clearly without judgment or criticism. It means being okay with who you are and what you've done, even if those things aren't perfect. The ultimate Tip to Stop hatred is to start with self-compassion.

6.  Focus on One Thing At a Time

One-Thing-At-a-Time

This is one of the most effective ways to stop hatred. It's easy for us to get overwhelmed by all the things we think are wrong with us at once, but focusing on just one thing at a time can help put things into perspective and give us some much-needed clarity in our lives. Write down all the things that come up when you think about yourself — whether they're physical traits or personality traits — then pick one thing. So, do not forget this Tip to stop hatred about yourself.

7. Know Your Roots

Knowing your roots is a Good Way to stop hatred. Self-hate can come from childhood wounds that were never healed or from outdated cultural messages about what it means to be female. These messages often include the notion that women should be thin and beautiful at all costs — even at the expense of their health and happiness. When these messages are internalized by young girls, they often carry into adulthood where they continue to affect our thoughts about ourselves and how we treat ourselves emotionally, physically and psychologically throughout our lives.

Conclusion

Your happiness is something you can take control of and take responsibility for. Life is hard sometimes, but that feeling of "I hate myself" is entirely your choice. So rather than hating yourself so much, try learning to love yourself. It's not that hard when you're better at seeing the positive aspects of your life and when you remember what's important to you, who's important to you, and all the good things in your life, even the things that may seem small or unimportant. Remember that, it is very important to learn to stop hating yourself.  Even after this if you are not able to stop hating yourself then go for online counselling sessions related to self-improvement.
