Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome. Anxiety Disorder is a category of a mental health diagnosis that leads to excessive fear, apprehension, and worry. This disorder alters how a person processes emotions and behaves, also causing physical symptoms. Mild anxiety might be vague and unsettling. While serve anxiety may seriously affect day to day living. It is the most common group of mental illnesses in the country. However, only 36.9 % of people with an anxiety disorder receive treatment.

What are the symptoms of Anxiety

Symptoms will often include:

  1. Restlessness and a feeling of being on-edge
  2. Uncontrollable feelings of worry
  3. Increased to irritability
  4. Concentration difficulties
  5. Sleep difficulties such as problem in falling or staying asleep

While these symptoms might be normal to experience in daily life, people with anxiety will experience them to persistent or extreme levels. More severe anxiety that disrupts day-to-day living.


  1. Environment Stressors: Such as difficulties at work, relationship problems, or family issues.
  2. Genetics: As people who have family members with anxiety are more likely to experience anxiety.
  3. Medical Factors: The effects of medication or the stress of an intensive surgery or prolonged recovery.

1. Panic Disorder:

Experiencing and recurring panic attacks at unexpected times. A person with panic disorder may live in fear of the next panic attacks and anxiety starts from thereof having fear again and again.

2. Phobia:

Excessive fear of a specific object, place things, situation, or activity. A person with a phobia might acknowledge fear as illogical or extreme but remain unable to control feelings of anxiety around the trigger.

3. Social Anxiety:

It is a type of excessive fear of being judged by others in social situations. Also, we can conclude it as fear of negative judgment from others in social situations or of public embarrassment. It includes a range of feelings such as stage fright, a fear of intimacy, and anxiety around humiliation and rejection.

4. Obsessive-Compulsive Anxiety Disorder:

Recurring irrational thoughts that lead you to perform specific repeated behavior and feel anxiety by repeating those behaviors.

5. Separation anxiety:

Fear of being away from home or loved one's cause of separation anxiety disorder. It creates high levels of anxiety after separation from a person or place.

6. Illness / Stress Anxiety:

Anxiety about your health and the tense of the situation or an event cause anxiety.

7. Generalized Anxiety Disorder:

This is a chronic disorder involving excessive, long-lasting anxiety and worries about non-specific life events, objects, and situations.

How to Manage and treat anxiety:

There are Five ways to manage anxiety:

1. Recognition:

 The first objective in the treatment of your anxiety is to get you the sources and causes of anxiety. Recognizing the developing symptoms of anxious feelings and what factors are causing it helps you to identify the anxiety disorder. Aim to recognize and alter the harmful thought patterns that can trigger anxiety helps people to manage the way their body and mind react to certain triggers.

2. Relationship:

The second goal in treating your anxiety is to bring you to look for people around you for support and help. Seek help from a person who is supportive, such as a family member or friend, or counselor. They help you in avoiding storing up and suppressing anxious feelings as this can worsen an anxiety disorder.

3. Removal:

It is the third factor to overcome anxiety, Removal of bad peoples and stress around you helps you to cope up with feeling anxious. This is especially helpful if you suffer from social anxiety and being to feel closed in or overwhelmed.

4. Relaxation:

Using of relaxation and breathing techniques to slow down your rapid heartbeat and calm yourself in the feeling of anxiety. It is the most effective way to relax at the moment. Also, it can help you refocus your mind and ease your anxiety.

5. Re-engagement:

Bringing yourself back to a place of peace can help in the re-engagement of your emotions. You may schedule new things for yourself to overcome anxiety. You can use meditation, yoga, or music therapy to find your own piece of serenity.

6. Counseling and therapy:

Standard treatment for anxiety involves psychological counseling and therapy. This helps people to manage the way their body and mind reacts to certain triggers. This might include psychotherapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or a combination of therapy and counseling sessions that might explore the triggers of anxiety and possible coping mechanisms.

7. Medications:

Several types of medication can support the treatment of an anxiety disorder. Other medicines might help to control some of the physical and a mental symptom includes the following:

  1. Tricyclics
  2. Benzonia Zepines
  3. Anti Depressants

Don't be ashamed if you are having symptoms of anxiety disorder. With some lifestyle changes, physical exercises for mental fitness like - deep breathing, meditation, and with the help of proper counseling, anxiety issues can be resolved easily.
